Having been instructed by Legal & General as leasing agents on The Grafton in 2015, the centre is now undergoing significant change. It was purchased by Pioneer Group in 2022, and planning has been secured to redevelop the majority of The Grafton into a state-of-the-art mixed-use scheme. It is going to be predominantly house life sciences but there will also be a provision for retail, event space, a new premier inn hotel and a handful of restaurant units.
FMX remain involved in the transformation of this shopping centre into a truly mixed use destination. Recent involvement in the centre has been relocating key retailers already in the centre to secure their long-term future in the Grafton area. This includes H&M, The Entertainer, Decathlon; all of whom are committed to staying at The Grafton longer term.
The next phase includes providing advice on the existing retail element as well as the new retail and restaurant units that will be built with an aim to commence marketing the space in the near future.
